Connection

Users need to set the network before performing software updatevia network.

Operation Methods:

1. Click [Setting] / [Schedule SmartUpdate] / [Connection] in the main program interface of Rising Antivirus Software.

2. Select the mode to link to the internet in the popup window [Connection].

  • Link to the internet through Internet Explorer
  • Visit the internet through local area network or direct linkage.
  • Visit the internet through proxy server; this item needs the IP address and interface number of the proxy server, as well as ID when necessary.

3. Click [OK] to save the setting.

The default of [Connection] is "Access to the network by Internet Explorer" .If prior to [Connection], you can browse the webpage with Internet Explorer, then you can keep the default of [Connection].

After setting successfully, users can click the button [Software update] on the main program interface of Rising Antivirus Software to update. Users can also click the button [Link] to test the connectivity of the internet.

Note: if the computer has not been set with adapter, there will no relevant content of “Dial-up Connection” appears in the Connection window.
