Quick Start Guide

Setup of Rising AntiVirus Software: run installation procedure, users can click [Next] until setup finished according to the default settings of Setup Wizard. For detailed setup,, see Install Rising Antivirus Software.

Upgrade Rising AntiVirus Software: check that both network settings and user ID are correct, click the button [Software Upgrade] on the main interface to upgrade. Users can also directly apply the software’s default setting to perform real-time upgrade. For more upgrade methods, see Schedule SmartUpdate.

Note: please keep network smoothly during upgrading.

Virus detection and killing: under [Virus Killing] page, click the button “Fast Removal” or “Complete System Removal” to start virus removal; click the button “Custom Removal” after selecting the object to remove virus within the designated scope. If a certain file or folder need to be performed with virus removal, users can select the file or the folder, click right-hand button and select [Use Rising to kill], then Rising Antivirus Software can automatically run and the result shall be showed after the detection and killing is finished. Enablet/disenable all monitoring functions: right click the little umbrella at the lower right corner of the computer, select [Enable All Computer Protections] or [Disenable All Computer Protections] in the popup menu, which can start or forbid all monitoring and intelligent active defense functions at the same time.

Setting of operation mode: right click the little umbrella at the lower right corner of the computer, select [Switch Operation Mode] in the popup menu, there are two option menus: Professional Mode and Family Mode, you can click here to switch the operation mode.

Setting of account mode: right click the little umbrella at the lower right corner of the computer, select [Switch Account] in the popup menu, there are two option menus: Administrator Account and General Account, you can click here to switch the account. Administrator account processes all rights, while users with general account can not modify partial settings.

Note: under the condition of all computer protections, operation mode switching or account switching are forbidden, in order to prevent virus’ hostile attack, users shall input identifying code when necessary. If the Rising code is started, then the setting can be accomplished only after correct code is input.

Viewing of history record: click button [View Logs] on the tag page [Antivirus] or right click the little umbrella at the lower right corner of the computer, select [Viewing of Log] on the popup menu to view all logs.
