A: Please carefully verify the following issues:

1.Whether the Product License you purchased is assigned to Rising Personal Firewall, or not;

2.Whether letters and numbers in Product License is correct, or not;

Notice: Within Rising Product License, there is no letter “O” but number “0”. And computer users need pay attention on letter and number which may get promiscuous while entering Rising product license, for example: letter “S” and number “5”.

Q: How should I update my Rising Personal Firewall?

 

A: Rising Personal Firewall built-in automatic update option; so while your computer connect with Internet, Update component shall be automatically access to Internet and obtain the latest update. Meanwhile, you can manually start update by clicking button of [Update] on Rising Personal Firewall program main interface.

Q: What is Trusted Zone and ARP Spoofing Defense on Rising Setup Wizard? And how should I configure the settings?

 

A: If your computer connects to Internet through LAN, you can select “Add selected IP address to Trusted Zone”. Communication between your computer and trusted computers/devices will not be filter and intercepted by Rising Personal Firewall. If your computer connects to Internet through LAN but with Fixed IP address, please select [Binding select Gateway with MAC address] and [Enable ARP Spoofing Defense] both.

Q: Rising Personal Firewall prompts me there is program attempting to connect with Internet with TCP Protocol, what should I do?

 

A: Please check “Vendor”, “Path”, and “Network Behavior” to get primary security detection, and select “Allow” for trusted program, as well as “Deny” for suspicious program.

Q: Why I can not access webpage after Rising Personal Firewall installed on my computer?

 

A: This may caused by computer security defense settings as listed below:

1, The website address you attempt to access has been listed on Rising URL Filter Black List, so Rising Personal Firewall intercept it to protect your computer away from malicious attacks. Therefore, please close URL Filter and re-try; if this problem still exist and, you confirm the website address is trusted, please contact Rising Support Center for help.

2, This may caused by incorrect Network Defense and Security Mode settings. Under High level Network Defense, Rising Personal Firewall shall disable some webpage with special function; so, please adjust defense level to “Medium”, and switch Security Mode to “Professional” and, refresh the webpage.

Q: Why I can not access to sharing folder in LAN after Rising Personal Firewall installed?

 

A: Please add LAN IP address range to Rising Personal Firewall Trusted Zone; refer to IP Rules to get guide on Trusted Zone configuration.

Meanwhile, please check Windows Register Key at: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa and check value of “RestrictAnonymous” to see if it is zero. (Here the value must be 0.)

Q: Can I install both Rising Personal Firewall and Rising Internet Security on my computer?

 

A: No. Rising Internet Security has both functions of Rising Antivirus and Rising Personal Firewall, so you can not install both programs on one Windows operating system.
